TowerPro Brushless Motors
A range of low cost motors from TowerPro. Click images for a larger view. The 2908, 2915 and 3520 are supplied with radial mounts and prop adapters. Suitable prop adapters for the 2406 and 2409 can be found here.
2406-32 (Kv 980) At 88W max power, this is an ideal motor for park flyers - same performance as the typhoon micro 5-3D motor but half the price. Size 28mm dia x 30mm length. weight: 34g, 3.0mm shaft, no-load current: 0.8A at 10V, operating current: 4A-8A, efficiency > 70%, recommended prop: 8x4 Available with shaft at can or mount end.
2409-12 (Kv 1600) A superb '400' class motor capable of handling over 200W. Size 31mm dia x 30mm length. weight: 66g, 3mm shaft, no-load current: 1..2A at 10V, operating current: 1.7A - 20A, efficiency > 70%, recommended prop 8x4 - 9x4.5 Available with shaft at either end for tractor or pusher use.
2908-10D (Kv 1100) A '300W' class motor, roughly equivalent to a .20 sized glow engine and is recommended for planes up to 3 lbs (48 oz / 1.36 kg) total weight. Size 37mm dia x 39mm length, weight: 108g, 5mm shaft, no-load current: 2.5A at 10V, maximum voltage: 12.6V (3S LiPo), maximum current: 25A, maximum power: 300W, efficiency > 85%, recommended prop 9x6 - 11x6 APC-E. Supplied with radial mount and prop adapter.
The 2908-10D is a delta connected motor, optimised for high power on 2-3 LiPo cells. The Wye connected 2908-10Y will turn larger props on 4 cells and will be available soon.
2915-5D (Kv 930) A '400W' class motor, roughly equivalent to a .30 sized glow engine and is recommended for planes up to 4 lbs (64 oz / 1.8 kg) total weight. Size 37mm dia x 44mm length, weight: 132g, 5mm shaft, no-load current: 3.6A at 10V, maximum voltage: 12.6V (3S LiPo), maximum current: 40A, maxmium power: 450W, efficiency > 85%, recommended prop 9x6 - 9x7.5 APC-E. Supplied with radial mount and prop adapter.

3520-7 (Kv 650) A '600W' class motor, roughly equivalent to a .40 or .50 glow engine and is recommended for planes up to 8 lbs (128 oz / 3.6 kg) total weight using 4-5 LiPo cells. Size: 46mm dia x 56mm length, weight: 230g, 5mm shaft, no-load current: 1.0A at 10V, operating current: 1A - 45A, efficiency > 85%, recommended prop: 13x8 - 14x7. Supplied with prop adapter and radial mount.
