Originally built by de Havilland for the "Daily Mail" light aeroplane competition of 1923. The DH.53 Humming Bird was originally powered by a Douglas 750cc motorcycle engine. In 1924 the Royal Air Force commissioned eight of these gems for use as communications and training aircraft. Production models were powered by the 26 hp Blackburne Tomtit two-cyliner engine. The DH.53 was additionally tested as a "parasite aircraft" (launched from below an airship) before being retired to civil service in 1927.

Swift is designed for a 2S brushless motor and Spektrum's AR6400LBL micro receiver with built-in brushless ESC.
The AR6400LBL uses non-industry standard connectors: JST-PH for the battery and a Molex connector for the motor. We have connectors and leads available (e.g.: battery lead, motor lead) or, instead, you could change the connectors for the more usual red JST battery connector and 2mm bullet connectors for the motor.
E-Flite batteries are fitted with JST-PH power connector
