Flight Line Plans EPC - Electronic Profile Controller

EPC is the name that Flight Line Plans has given to its controller for electrically powered free flight aircraft. EPC is short for Electronic Profile Controller, an electronic device that is used to control how an electric motor, powering the model's propeller is run. EPC provides a 2A brushed motor controller with settings for start-up delay, cruise speed and time plus speed reduction for landing.

This thumbnail size bit of wizardry is an all-software controlled device which is programmed and operated by a single button. Its intended to run brushed motors directly and can be programmed in many different ways in terms of start/run time/stop performance just by simple button push whilst observing a couple of LEDs. The control system allows for hand launching at power settings from off to maximum or, if the model is fitted with an undercarriage, a graceful Rise off Ground take-off can be programmed whereby the model can be armed, placed on the floor before the motor accelerates and the model takes off. Flights are continued with a reduced cruise speed before shutting down to land.

E-Flite Motor Timer

The E-flite Control Line Timer has been designed to deliver control of an R/C ESC for use in an electric control line or free flight model. The timer has a very low weight of only 3.2 grams and is very compact in size. The timer is programmable and has a second function for controlling other features on your model such as retractable landing gear.

Flight Line Plans have recognised that many traditional free flight modellers have an interest in indoor flying during the winter season but some do not have the experience of either radio control or other forms of electric flight. To simplify matters a complete pre-wired and ready-to-go electric free flight system is provided, which will encourage an initial entry into this new specialty with a high degree of success. All components are designed for use with the Electronic Profile Controller.

A 7mm 3.3ohm coreless pager motor with GWS 2.5x0.8 propeller. Fitted with connector pins ready to use with the EPC.

A single cell 50mAh Lithium Polymer battery fitted with a 60mm lead and 2 pin polarised connector ready for use with EPC.

Must be charged using a dedicated single cell LiPo charger using a charge current of 50mAh. Use the charge lead with your charger.
